From Rotorua Airport:
Turn right out of Rotorua Airport onto Te Ngae Rd.
After 4 kms you will see a sign on your left 'Blue, Green Lakes and Lake Tarawera'.
Turn left at the round-about, which is Tarawera Road and head up the hill.
Continue along Tarawera Road, following the Solitaire Lodge signs. (Solitaire Lodge is 19 km or 15 minutes drive).
Turn right into Ronald Road, where a sign directs you to Solitaire Lodge 400 metres along.
From South of Rotorua:
Follow main road into Rotorua from the South (Hemo Road).
At second roundabout – follow sign showing Airport (Sala Street).
At “T” intersection turn right into Te Ngae Rd.
Keep in right hand lane for 2 Km until you reach a large double lane roundabout.
Turn right at this round-a-bout onto Tarawera Road.
Continue along Tarawera Road, following the Solitaire Lodge signs. (Solitaire Lodge is 19 km or 15 minutes’ drive).
From North of Rotorua:
Follow main road into Rotorua from the north (State Highway 5).
At roundabout – turn right into Ngongotaha Road toward Rotorua City.
This road changes name to Old Taupo Road.
Keep in left hand lane and look out for “Airport” sign (Pukuatua Road).
Follow this road and cross intersection with McDonalds on the intersection with Fenton Street – do not turn.
Move into right hand lane for 4 Km until you reach a large double lane roundabout.
Turn right at this round-a-bout onto Tarawera Road.
Continue along Tarawera Road, following the Solitaire Lodge signs. (Solitaire Lodge is 19 km or 15 minutes’ drive).
