A pioneer of the Hawaii Regional Cuisine movement, celebrity chef Roy Yamaguchi newest restaurant concept, HUMBLE MARKET KITCHIN, finds inspiration from various local cuisines to create his internationally influenced, Hawaiian-inspired menu. Perched on one of the highest points at the property, the resort's signature restaurant offers indoor/outdoor dining, panoramic ocean views and a design influenced by the surrounding mountains and enchanting sea: the perfect complement to Chef Roy's cuisine.
Making up one of our seven unique dining experiences, KAPA Bar & Grill allows guests to sip on a signature tropical cocktail at an outdoor fire pit while watching the sun set over the horizon. KAPA's interior design is inspired by the Hawaiian tradition of kapa. Ancient Hawaiians pounded the bark of mulberry trees into a felt-like fabric called kapa, which was used for everything from sails for canoes to bedding and clothing. Kapa is almost considered a lost art, and our restaurant pays contemporary homage to this tradition with high impact murals inspired by the bamboo stamp designs and subtle interior elements throughout the space to create a special environment.
